With a 30cm-deep wading pool and waterspouts, your youngsters will enjoy this 'cool’ space during your next visit to Whiteman Park.
The water playground is open from 10.00am to 5.00pm every day of the warmer months, and there is plenty of shade surrounding the pool for mums, dads and grandparents to watch on from!
You'll find the Mini Water Playground directly opposite the Village Cafe with public toilet facilities nearby.
The area is very popular, particularly on warmer days and as an activity for kids birthday parties, with the nearby picnic shelters (Shelters F and J1, plus Shade Shelters WP and PP) all excellent options for such gatherings. As parties and gatherings are not permitted in the pool area itself, securing one of these venue hire facilities is highly recommended. Note that they do book out in advance in the warmer months, so be sure to secure yours early!
The Mini Water Playground is usually operational from the October school holidays through to the end of the April school holidays each year (weather and permits permitting).
Pool Rules
Please note that there are some restrictions to the use of the water playground, all of which are outlined at the entrance of the pool area. These include:
- Children must be supervised at all times while using this facility.
- Young children must wear a swimming suit or swim nappy for health reasons.
- This facility is for children under 10 years of age.
- Glass is not permitted in the pool area.
- Shade areas are reserved for parents and guardians supervising their children.
- No parties or functions are permitted inside the pool enclosure.
- Please leave the area immediately when requested, or when the alarm sounds.

A sloping ramp makes access easy
